December comes.

Hi~ It's been a while. I finally had time to come back again to update my blog. I am sorry to have not update it so long, to my blog and me.

I found that actually by having my own blog, it calms my nerves down. Or rather, it's a place where i can just post and say anything that i want to say. It might seem rather normal for everyone(yeah of course you can say anything and everything in your own blog) but the case for me is that, this blog kinda represents the inner me at some point. I had not been taking care of it too long so maybe that's the reason why I actually broke down at some point in this 20th year of my life.

Broke down?
Why?

Stress it is. Quite amazing though I would like to admit, the power of mindset and thinking. I had been reading on this one book of my lecturer (he gave away a number of books in the faculty), titled "You Can Be Happy No Matter What : Five Principles For Keeping Life Perspective" by Richard Carlson, it lead me to think about how to control my own mind; all the thoughts that had pass through, both negative and positive. I had only starting reading it this afternoon but it already helped me get through the rest of the day with ease.

He mentioned a sentence in his book, " we are the thinkers of our own thoughts", so circumstances does not define us, but it is the way that we think of the circumstances that we had,and how we choose to face it.

The reason that I had taken up the book, well it is obvious, I am trying to find happiness in all the things that I do, because at one point, I lost myself, due to all the judgement and comments that I had received. I thought I needed to change myself according to the circumstances and people's opinion, and so I did.

As a 20 year-old person, I had been a person who's striving for knowledge and all life has to offer to me, but doing so without uncovering my real personality is really hard, as I constantly compare myself with others, for example how can she do some thing so great, have many friends that kept coming back to her while I don't. Then I'll start thinking about is it about my communication skills, maybe I'm not a people person. (well kinda ahhaha)

This is the point where the book's come handy. I need to stop thinking thoughts that could hurt me,dismiss them out of my mind because it only does damage to myself instead of making me happier.

So lesson learnt is that you can make yourself happy, regardless of the circumstances you're in. Don't give in to your thoughts, because you are the master of your own mind, learn to control your thoughts and then you'll be happy!

That's all for now.
Thanks for reading !

(this blog kinda works like a diary for me now, so if you find it uncomfortable reading the contents just ignore my blog haha)

Merry Christmas to everyone in advance!

One Step Closer

Guess why I'm posting in my blog again? Haha~~ It's because I had an assignment from my beloved lecturer hihi XD

Well,  I would love to talk about the recent activities that I had during my stay in 17th College as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student (DVM 1).

Quite shocking huh? All this while not any post then suddenly I became a vet student already! Life does take a turn around us you know~

Okay, back to the story, I had Vet Orientation and Career Week during the last weekends + Friday afternoon from 30 Sept to 2 Oct. It was organised by the faculty's club, VETERNAK UPM.

Day 1~3

Our faculty dean gave an introductory speech followed with introduction to our lecturers and staff who had working in the faculty departments without us much noticing and knowing about them, well now we do!
Our Dean and yes comfy to the chairs of auditorium hehe

Lecturers we are gonna be accustomed to in 5 years~

Small animal surgeries doctors

Dr Yasmin, specialised in virology

All of the lecturers have great educational backgrounds, so their profession is not something to mess with, they mean business when they do their job;most of them had their PhDs in Scotland, New Zealand, Japan, Australia and even America. Isn't it amazing~~ I hope I will be somebody like that too one day XD

So the main highlights of the day is of course the invited speakers, Dr. Ardhy bin Adnan from Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and Dr. Calvin Cheah who is currently working in Royal Canin.

The speech given by Dr. Ardhy mainly focused about the objectives and services offered by DVS to the clients. He presented to us the organisational structure of DVS. The top handling management is Director General of Veterinary Services while under him is two Deputy Director General which are for veterinary health and another for development. The sub-units are handled by three of them. With Dr. Ardhy's explanation, we were given a clarity on what kind of services were available on livestock industry technical services. Some of them are ambulatory, veterinary inspection, research, public health, disease control, quarantine import, diagnostic services , enforcement, training, and extension.

He explained that the three key roles of a vet in the civil services were as a : veterinary practitioner, veterinary strategist and veterinary manager. These three roles overlapped with each other explains how diverse a role of vet is in the civil service, It is not a work that is chair and table-bound job in office, it requires field work too unlike what most of us had been imagining of what the vets do in DVS.

A break on selfies with friends first... we are still awake and in high spirit for the next speaker!!

________________________________~~~~~~~~~~~~____________________________________

Afterwards, the speaker invited by our organizer was Dr. Calvin Cheah. He shared his life experiences in choosing careers after getting his degree in UPM. First, he started off as a small animal practitioner for 10 months. To him, working in a clinic is a boring job, so he decided to quit and do a new venture in business with his friends. It didn't last that long and then he started as a marketing manager in Royal Canin as a vet to care for the nutrition in pet food. Not long after that he was promoted to Corporate Affairs & Scientific Communication Manager which is his current position right now.
"The message he wanted to convey to us was that not everyone gets what he or she wants, but he or she is given the chance for a reason, and that interest in a course you are not familiar with can be developed through new experiences and not everyone who came out as a graduated vet student need to be JUST an animal doctor, we can also find careers that fit to our personality and lifestyle."

<< Q & A Session with Dr. Ardhy and Dr. Calvin Cheah

On the second day, we had a talk by Dr. Kavitha Jayaseelan specializing in wildlife as she works in Zoo Negara. She was an aspiring vet working in the zoo taking care of animal welfare management. It was very interesting how she elaborated on her experiences being a resident vet in the zoo and the work she did for 3 years. I realised that her work requires fast thinking, and great problem-solving minds, and great mentality and handling heavy animals that are big in size. It made me realized that working with wildlife is not as easy as it seems in Animal Planet XD

The other invited speaker is Professor Madya Dr. Goh Yong Meng, a nutritional physiologist. He explained about how we should approach our studies.

Dr. Wan Fitri and Professor Dato' Dr. Mohammad Shariff were the invited speakers on the third day.

Personally, I think that Dr. Kavitha is my favourite speaker, because she is so determined in her work, she can even sacrifice her sleep and time for the wildlife animals and it is very inspiring for me. As what Dr. Kavitha said, it is no use if we do not take actions and book-keeping is very essential for informations on how to handle and treat the Malaysian species animals.  My horizon on veterinary work surely did widened.

What type of vet do I wanna be?
The answer is still wildlife.

That's all thank you!

Sukan Rakyat ASPer 2.0

It has such a long time since I write my blog.

And here I am, in the television room in my college, connected to the internet.
To be truth, actually I am stuck on how to do all my assignments...hihi XD

Just wanna update on what I've been doing this past few months.

On 30th January 2016, my class group had joined Sukan Rakyat ASPer 2.0, which was consists of games like Batu Seremban, Dart Kampung, Ceper, and cheers for every class group.

Our group came up with the name Kampung Kubur Berasap, since the hosts of the game requested that we should have the 13 in our group name, and in that, the 'B' is actually made of 1 and 3.

So, the theme is scary and spooky, and we had been practicing the moves for our cheers though it is not much. Well, with the help of my makeup, everyone becomes scary and zombie-like XD

This is the few guys that played with my lipsticks.
Turned out quite nice huh?

That's me and Ellie.

Left is the Lady and center to Fit and right to me~

This is our group photo for the cheering representatives of our Kg. Kubur Berasap.

~~What we had never expected for our performance to be quite photogenic in the DSLR

We were so happy to receive this picture from the photographer. Credits to him for giving us something that would make us remember ASPer more.

When we saw this pic, I realized that it was not a waste for practicing the whole day before it. It was so tiring to make it synchronized with all the other members, but it was all worth it.

Our group managed to get second and third places in all the games and with that, we rendered to be the 3rd in overall scores!!!! HOORAYYYY !!!!

Most of us had gone back because all of us were too exhausted to stay till 5pm XD.
We got the trophy and everyone had a smile on their faces. ^_^

FIN

Thanks and hoped you liked it.

ANOTHER me.

Welcome Welcome~~~!

Now, you would not expect much from me but despite liking all the cute stuffs like crochet and knits, I too very much into a bit of those cool new PS3 and PS4 games. Infamous, GTA 5, Beyond 2 Souls, Deadspace, Duke Nukem Forever, Resident Evil 6 and Flower, a very nice game for meditation and relaxation as it's graphic is really pleasant.

If you would ask what game will give quite a impact and the one that I really remember, I would have to say The Assassin Creed 4, Black Flag !!!

What makes it really funny is one video I found on Youtube by Tobuscus, their literal video trailers on Assassin Creed Brotherhood and 4. They just made the whole video literal lol XD
I just can't help but fall in love with it, like crazy!

Here is a video on it. Hope you guys will like it!

How about it?  Quite nice right~?

To let you know, my friend, Celine introduced this to me and we both gone crazy about it so much we even sang in school during breaks or class! hahahahaha, missing the old times with my friends. I used to just monitor all the games that my friend and her brother will play in their newly bought PS4. I'd join in to play if it's not really hard to play or kill the creatures in Deadspace XD
-For your information, I don't really PLAY the games I just like to WATCH.

Duke Nukem is pretty much X-rated haha but it is quite fun to play.

Well as you can see now, I fairly enjoy games with adventures and great graphics, bloody and zombie-related. Ewww somebody of you would say it is scary and disgusting but that is the attractive points for me~~ yeahhh(peace sign)

And there is this one game which is quite hilarious. No actually it is very hilarious. (for me)
It is called Octodaddy, and here is a link for it-Octodaddy trailer

And I will give a trailer on Resident Evil 6, this one has real handsome guy characters in it haha.

Knowing that I had share my other side to you guys, please don't distant yourselves from here because all people have many sides to them, of course me too.

Thank you for visiting xoxo

Introducing DIY Christmas tree and Ornaments

Well, first of all, greetings to everyone who comes to see my blog though this is only the second one hahahaha XD
In this blog I am going to explain my crocheting 'journey' a bit and let you in to all the instructions to make some of the Christmas ornaments.

And yes, since we reached the festive season of Christmas, where our Saviour, Son of God, came down to us to save us from all the sorrows suffered by the people.
'Thou shall celebrate as thou is receiving the greatest present ever from Him.'
----the quote is only from me, no offence.

So as to that, I tried on doing some crocheting since knitting looks kinda hard (for me). Bought some crochet hooks of 2mm to 10mm. Though i did buy some smaller ones which are 0.75mm and 1mm which is mainly used for lace.

This is the set that I bought from Taobao which only costs RM17.90 . This is the cheapest to buy if you just need some crochet hooks without caring much about quality. It works just fine to me ^-^

I was at a lost before as to give what kind of Christmas present I should give to my godmother. Then, I came across some pins in Pinterest. There were quite a lot of posts on Christmas giveaways to family members. Then a thought came to my mind, how about I make one crocheted DIY for her, so I searched for the one that is quite easy and that does not require much skill (pardon me, I am just a beginner at crocheting).

Okay. Poof!

This is the Christmas presents my godparents received from me and my siblings. Big lot of chocolate bars for her sons XD

And this is the Christmas tree that I made by myself.

It only requires a bit of materials you can get from your house:
  1. Crochet hook of 5mm
  2. Cream-coloured yarn (any colour is okay)- 2 and a 1/2 balls of yarn
  3. Beads of different sizes- chose green and red for Christmas theme
  4. Letter buttons
  5. Threads and scissors
  6. Hot glue gun
  7. Thin cardboard
  8. Old newspapers
  9. Cellotape
and I guess that's all you need to have.

I did the crochet only with the guide of Youtube tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18h7Tpjxzl8). The pattern is quite easy as when you do it over times.

Asperian-To-Bes'

Hi and welcome to whoever visits this blog~ ^_^

WELLL...This is the first post of my blog. Yeahh hahahahaha~
Forgive me for being too excited, I'm just new to this whole blogging thing. I can't wait to share everything (like literally EVERYTHING) so you can look forward to my posts every now and then if  I have Wi-Fi and time for blogging.

I had started blogging since it is part of the assignment from SSK1000 in my study of Asasi Sains Pertanian (ASPer).

ASPer.  .  .  .  .  .

Pertanian! Man, it sure does sound boring and lousy..no way I'm gonna go there. That is what everyone who first heard of ASPer thinks. Well, like no matter how many times you tell them it is just not about agriculture, they just don't understand it. You know what to say at times like this? Tell them to experience it themselves. If you don't try, you'll just never know what it's like.

Okayy..first few important things you know about ASPer is:

1.Connect with nature and comfortable with animals
To elaborate a bit, Universiti Putra Malaysia or UPM is nature-based campus and ASPer course is only available in the main campus which in Serdang, Selangor. UPM have Equine Park which you can learn horse-riding. Sound amazing, huh? There's goats, cattles, deer, fish and etc.
http://www.upm.edu.my/
(Sorry that was meant to be only a little haha)

2. Differentiate play time and serious time
You have to know this very important rule because it may affect your grades or CGPA and that can limit your selection of degree course you are able to take. So DON'T PLAY PLAY AH! (watched too many Phua Chu Kang-Singapore comedian) But don't ever worry, play time is always there. You just need to be serious at right times and you will fine.

3. Holidays are LIMITED EDITION
I am sorry to say but yeah the semester breaks will not be long enough for you and you will tend to get angry over few days off that should've been off but taken aback because of some classes that you have to replace. NORMAL. Just don't fret about it. If you come from Sabah and Sarawak, just chillax and enjoy KL though you might miss your hometown (I know that feeling--homesick)

4. WIFI, BUS, COLLEGES and ALLOWANCE are provided during your studies.
The place that you will be staying is called colleges e.g. Kolej 13 and there are Wi-Fi to connect when you are in the room. Transportation are buses and remember to say "Thank You" always after the ride. Manners are important especially some bus drivers have a bit of the temper. Allowance is what comes and go by as it is given to the ASPer students and mostly (almost all) had taken it for granted. It's given RM1960 per sem which each semesters have 3 months.

5. DIRTS and all aren't much to bother yourself with.
When you enter UPM, you won't be caring much about little dirt anymore, at least that is what I think. Because you will be experiencing lots of things in UPM that you had never thought you will. Yes. You do. And all of that just sums up if you don't get any dirt on you, it means that you are not enjoying and into WHAT you do after all ^_^  But hygiene is important too okay~

I guess this is all I can enlighten you guys with, for now, about ASPer life. That is just the basics. More of them you have to find out for yourself hehe.
Thanks.

But any questions you can leave comment below about the topic above.
